Work With Me

Practical AI strategy for businesses that want to move fast and get it right

AI is already creating real value for businesses that know how to use it well. The opportunity is in knowing where to start and what actually makes sense for your organisation.

I work with mid-size businesses to map exactly what is happening with AI across their organisation, identify where the real opportunities are to save time and improve how things work, and build a practical strategy grounded in their business goals and the input of their team.

The goal is not to slow AI down. It is to help you move faster, smarter, and with the confidence that comes from knowing what you are doing and why.

Every engagement starts with the AI Usage and Opportunity Review and builds from there depending on what your business needs.

Tier 1: AI Usage and Opportunity Review

Most businesses are already using AI, often in ways leadership hasn't fully mapped yet.

In six weeks, the AI Usage and Opportunity Review will give you a clear, honest picture of how AI is being used across your business, where the easy wins are, where the real risks are, and what to do next.

What we do together:

We start with a 45–60 minute conversation with you (and 2 - 3 key people you'd like to include) to understand the business strategy, goals and direction and begin mapping AI use.

From there, your team completes a short survey of around 7–10 minutes. From that conversation and your survey data, I write a clear report that covers:

    • How AI is currently being used across your business, including tools you may not know about
    • Where your staff see opportunities to save time or work more effectively through automation or AI
    • Where risks may exist, including privacy, data handling, shadow tool use, or gaps in oversight
    • What AI or privacy regulation may apply to your business right now, including any looming deadlines or changes that may require consideration.
    • What training your team actually wants and needs, based on what they told us, not assumptions
    • A practical set of recommendations for your next steps, grounded in your business strategy and what your staff actually told us.

We finish with a 45 minute session where I walk you through the report findings, answer your questions, and help you decide how to move forward.

What you'll walk away with?
    • A written AI Usage and Opportunity Report tailored to your business
    • Clarity on where AI is already creating value, and where it isn't
    • Practical, prioritised recommendations, including any AI or automation opportunities that could genuinely transform how your team works
    • A clear view of any compliance exposure before it becomes a problem
How it works:
    • Week 1 — Stakeholder meeting and survey launched
    • Weeks 2–3 — Survey open and follow-up as needed
    • Weeks 4–5 — Analysis, report writing and recommendations
    • Week 6 — Findings and recommendations session

Tier 2: AI Strategy and Automation Roadmap

Built directly on the findings from your Tier 1, the AI Strategy and Automation Roadmap gives your business a clear, practical plan for where and how to use AI and automation, grounded in your business strategy, shaped by your staff, and realistic about what actually makes sense for your organisation.

What we do together:

We begin with a focused 30 to 45 minute session with your leadership team to revisit your business strategy and priorities in light of the Tier 1 findings. This ensures the strategy we build is anchored in where you want to go, not just what the data showed us.

From there, I run two live online sessions of 45 to 60 minutes each with your staff, split into groups depending on the size of your team.

These sessions are designed to go deeper, exploring what's tedious, where time is being lost, where staff see real opportunities, and who has the appetite to become an AI champion inside the business. Staff who were surveyed in Tier 1 will recognise that their input is being taken seriously. That matters for buy-in.

From everything gathered, your leadership direction, your Tier 1 findings, and your staff sessions, I build your AI and Automation Strategy document.

What the strategy document covers:
    • Where we are now - a brief summary of the Tier 1 findings as the baseline
    • Where leadership wants to go - the business goals and strategic priorities that AI and automation should serve
    • Opportunity map - a prioritised list of processes or tasks where AI or automation could add real value, drawn from both leadership and staff input
    • What to do first - a recommended sequencing of those opportunities based on ease, impact, and risk
    • What tools or approaches to consider - with enough direction to brief an implementation partner
    • What not to automate - including where human judgement should stay and where platform dependency is a real risk
    • How to communicate it to the team - key messages to bring staff along, and explain where they fit
    • Regulatory considerations for automation - specific flags for the business on what regulation may apply to their automated processes, transparency requirements, sector specific rules, and where human oversight is legally required rather than just recommended.

We finish with a 45 to 60 minute session with your leadership team where I walk through the strategy, answer questions, and make sure you feel confident presenting it to your team in your own words.

If you decide to engage external partners to implement any part of the roadmap, I can also support you with writing a clear brief and evaluating your options as a separate engagement.

What you'll walk away with:
    • A written AI and Automation Strategy document tailored to your business
    • A prioritised roadmap your leadership team can act on immediately
    • Staff who have been heard and are more likely to engage with the changes ahead
    • Clarity on what to automate, what to avoid, and what the regulatory landscape means for your specific situation
    • The confidence to brief and evaluate external implementation partners if needed
How it works:

7 to 8 weeks from completion of tier 1

    • Week 1: Leadership strategy recap session
    • Weeks 2 to 3: Staff sessions
    • Weeks 4 to 6: Strategy document development
    • Week 7 to 8: Leadership presentation and handover session

Tier 3: Policy & Training Package

Who it’s for:

Organisations that need clear, tailored AI usage rules and staff upskilling before expanding AI adoption. This package builds on Tier 1 and 2 by delivering a formal internal AI policy, practical tools for assessing AI risks, and targeted training so staff know exactly how to use AI safely and in line with regulatory best practice.

Ideal for:
  • Organisations ready to move from “informal use” to a documented, governed AI approach
  • Teams needing practical policies that are actually understood and followed by staff
  • Leaders wanting clear procurement and vendor assessment processes
  • Organisations preparing for upcoming regulatory changes or client scrutiny
Why do I need this?

Even if you know how AI is currently being used, risks remain if there are no clear rules or processes. Without a policy, staff may use AI tools inconsistently, overlook privacy or bias issues, or procure risky vendors without checks. This can expose the organisation to compliance breaches, inefficiencies, or reputational harm.

The Policy & Training Package gives you:

  • A tailored AI usage policy aligned to your organisation’s context and regulations
  • Clear checklists and registers so you know which tools are in use and how they’ve been vetted
  • Staff training to build confidence and consistency in safe AI use
  • Guidance on procurement and vendor assessment to prevent risky contracts
What’s included:

Everything in Tier 1 & 2, plus:

Internal AI Usage Policy – tailored to your organisation’s context and sector requirements

Staff Training & Upskilling - One live or recorded team training session (up to 60 minutes).

AI Tool Use & Risk Checklist – aligned to international standards like the EU AI Act and GDPR (where relevant), including:

  • “How to assess if an AI tool is safe to use” guidance
  • Minimum vendor requirements for privacy, transparency, and security

AI Use Register Template - Simple, adaptable register to track what AI tools are in use, who uses them, and for what purpose.

Strategic procurement guidance – how to set guardrails for buying or renewing AI tools

  • Guidance on low-risk alternatives.
  • Recommended minimum vendor standards for privacy, transparency, and compliance.
  • Key questions to ask before contracting with AI vendors.
  • Contractual red flag spotting (e.g. data ownership, liability clauses).
Deliverables:

6 - 8 weeks from completion of Tier 2.

  • Week 1: Kick-off + review of Tier 1 & 2 findings.
  • Week 2–3: Drafting and refining internal AI policy.
  • Week 4: Development of AI risk checklist, AI use register, and procurement guardrails.
  • Week 5: Draft policy handover and 30 minute revision session.
  • Week 6: Final policy handover and Q&A (live or recorded).
  • Week 7-8: Team training session delivered.

Tier 4: Full AI Governance Framework

Who it’s for:

Organisations ready to embed long-term AI oversight, governance, and risk management at scale. This package is designed for enterprises where AI use is expanding quickly and leadership needs confidence that adoption is ethical, compliant, and strategically aligned.

Ideal for:
  • Regulated or privacy-sensitive organisations scaling AI across multiple departments
  • Leaders wanting formal governance that stands up to regulator, client, or partner scrutiny
  • Organisations introducing high-risk AI tools or functions under evolving regulations
  • Enterprises seeking a governance model that is proactive, not reactive
Why do I need this?

As AI becomes embedded in daily operations, oversight can no longer be informal. Without a governance structure, new tools may be introduced without proper vetting, bias or privacy issues may go unnoticed, and leadership risks being blindsided by compliance failures or reputational damage.

The Full AI Governance Framework gives you:

  • A practical system for reviewing, approving, and monitoring AI tools across the organisation
  • A permanent oversight body (AI Review Board) with clear responsibilities and authority
  • Risk monitoring processes that keep leadership informed and compliant
  • Training for both executives and staff, so governance becomes part of everyday culture
What’s included:

Everything in Tier 1, 2 and 3, plus:

AI Governance Framework – A practical “playbook” that makes sure AI oversight is built into everyday operations. Aligned with relevant AI and privacy regulation and sector-specific rules, it addresses key risks like bias, privacy, and transparency. Designed to make approval and oversight part of everyday operations.

  • Tool Onboarding & Change Protocol – a clear process for vetting and approving new AI tools before use
  • Custom Decision Trees – easy-to-use flowcharts so staff know exactly when to approve, escalate, or reject new tools

Permanent AI Oversight Body – set up an internal AI Review Board with the right people, mandate, and authority to manage AI risk at scale.

  • Draft Terms of Reference – clearly defining responsibilities, meeting schedules, and decision-making power
  • Escalation Pathways – step-by-step procedures for responding to high-risk incidents, bias detection, or system failures

Continuous Risk Monitoring & Reporting – embed a routine review process to catch issues early, maintain compliance, and support leadership decision-making.

Leadership & Staff Enablement – ensure everyone knows their role in AI governance.

  • C-Suite Briefing – a 60-minute session on strategic and regulatory risks tailored to your sector
  • Dual Training Streams – two 60-minute sessions: one for leadership, one for staff, covering their specific responsibilities in oversight and safe use
Deliverables:

12 - 14 weeks from completion of tier 3

  • Weeks 1–2: Project kick-off, review of existing AI governance, and confirmation of scope and sector-specific requirements.
  • Weeks 3–5: Draft and refine the Enterprise AI Governance Framework, including Terms of Reference, escalation pathways, and monitoring protocols.
